The November Pogrom & Kindertransport

The November Pogrom & Kindertransport

The November Pogrom, also known as Kristallnacht, marked the first, state-sponsored violence against all Jews in German territory. One of the only successful attempts to rescue Jews during this period was the Kindertransport, an effort that saved ten thousand children between 1938 and 1940.

Through artifacts, personal testimonies, and multimedia pieces, this gallery invites you to consider what produced the switch to public violence and increased emigration barriers.
