Educator Workshop: Women and the Holocaust
March 5 at 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
The Holocaust was not a gender neutral event. Women experienced the Holocaust differently and were targeted specifically based on their gender. Centering the experiences of women provides a more complete and accurate understanding of the Holocaust and its impact. This virtual session explores women’s experiences under Nazi control, focusing on Jewish victims and survivors of the Holocaust.
You will also learn stories of women who risked their lives to resist hatred and help others during one of the darkest times in human history. Educators will gain knowledge and teaching resources for representing women’s experiences throughout their Holocaust lessons.
Educators will receive 2 SCECH hours and all educational materials from the session.
