
Virtual Educator Training: Preventing Genocide Through Lessons from the Holocaust
December 11, 2025 at 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Educators will explore the definition of genocide and best pedagogical practices for teaching about the Holocaust and other genocides in the classroom. The session will leave educators feeling empowered to teach students about practical, concrete ways that students can act as upstanders and help prevent the conditions that lead to genocide in the world today.
Educators will receive:
- 2 SCECH Hours
- Information regarding the definition of genocide and how to teach about it in the classroom
- Understanding of the contexts, warning signs, and preventative measures of genocide
- Materials from the session delivered digitally
